For everyone’s safety, the following items are not allowed at our events: functional projectile weapons, guns, metal swords, blunt objects (like baseball bats), pepper spray, or explosives (including fireworks).
Cosplay weapons must be made from safe materials such as wood, cardboard, PVC, plastic, or high-density foam. No glass, ceramic, or metal props. Bows are allowed without strings, but arrows are not permitted. Guns (even replicas) should be left at home. Handcuffs, chains, restraints, or collars are fine as part of a costume—but must be used safely and never on others without consent.
We aim to keep our events fun and safe for all ages, especially children. If you’re unsure whether a prop is allowed, contact us before the event. We’d rather answer your questions in advance than have to confiscate something on the spot.
Vendors must package any weapon sold (original box or secure packaging) so it cannot be carried openly at the event. Buyers should be told not to remove it until they’ve left the venue. Selling weapons to minors is illegal in most of Ontario and will result in a vendor ban.
